General Qualities & Characteristics

Gulf Security oils are straight mineral oils made from selected paraffinic base stocks. They have high viscosity indexes, high natural resistance to oxidation, low total sulfur content, low carbon residue and excellent water separating characteristics.

Recommendations
The characteristics and wide range of available viscosities of Gulf Security oils make these products desirable where a straight mineral oil is recommended for total loss systems, circulating systems, gear boxes, and hydraulic systems, etc.
Gulf Security 32, 46 and 68 are excellent for general lubrication as well as circulating and hydraulic systems where make-up rates are high.
Grades 100 and 150 may also be used in circulating and hydraulic systems requiring these higher viscosities.
In addition, Gulf Security 68, 100 and 150 are an excellent recommendation for cylinder lubrication of single and double-acting reciprocating compressors. Because of their low vapor pressure, grade 68 and 100 are preferred for use in mechanical vacuum pumps.
Always follow equipment manufacturer’s recommendations for required lubricant performance levels and viscosity grades.
