General Qualities & Characteristics

Gulf Racing Brake Fluid is a superior performance brake and clutch fluid of the highest quality. It has been developed specifically for motor racing and rally events where regular, hard braking on motor racing and rally circuits can lead to elevated temperatures in the brake disc or drum areas. Gulf Racing Brake Fluid meets and exceeds the internationally accepted DOT 5 performance specification and is blended from synthetic fluids together with corrosion and oxidation inhibitors. Due to its high boiling point and low pour point, it is suitable for use in a wide climatic temperatures range.

 
Performance Specifications
Gulf Racing Brake Fluid has a boiling point in excess of 260 °C and with low water absorption characteristics ensures firm, positive braking under sustained racing conditions. Piston wear is well controlled and the highly effective rust and oxidation inhibitors ensure that internal surfaces of the brake system are maintained in good condition.
 
Recommendations
Gulf Racing Brake Fluid is suitable for all European, US and Japanese production and purpose built  high performance sports and racing cars used in circuit racing, rallies, mountain racing, etc., where repeated, hard braking is necessary. It is also suitable for racing motor-cycles fitted with high efficiency disc brakes racing under similar conditions. Gulf Racing Brake Fluid is also suitable for the brake and clutch systems of all passenger cars except where mineral oil type fluid is specified (e.g. Citroen).
